The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) has compiled the following profiles for each State and Territory that submitted a feedback form for Town Hall Meetings (THMs) held to discuss local and regional underage drinking prevention issues. Each profile provides a brief snapshot of each State’s effort based on information provided, including the number of THMs, the names of communities where meetings were held, the number of adults and youth in attendance, and highlights of that State’s or Territory’s efforts. Major actions resulting from the meetings are shown in terms of the proportions of organizations that held discussions and follow-up meetings and that planned legislation, more THMs and future events, and other activities. Attendees’ overall response to the meetings and organizers’ satisfaction ratings are presented. In addition, feedback is provided on barriers and challenges that organizers experienced in hosting THMs.
